    Medical disclaimer

Helpful information — not a substitute for care.

I want this website to be genuinely useful. I also want to be honest about what it can and cannot do: it can help you understand this work, but it cannot assess you, diagnose you, or treat you.

    Effective date · July 30, 2026

    Educational content only

Everything on this site — descriptions of conditions, modalities, what to expect, patient experiences — is general education. It is written for a broad audience and is not tailored to your history, your symptoms, or your circumstances.

    Not medical advice

Nothing here is medical, diagnostic, or treatment advice, and nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Please do not use this website to self-diagnose, to start or stop a medication, or to delay seeing a qualified provider.

Not a substitute for evaluation or treatment

Acupuncture works best alongside good medical care, not instead of it. Care at Bennu Acupuncture is offered only after a consultation and an appropriate assessment, and it does not replace evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by your physician or other licensed provider. Always talk with them about questions concerning your health, and about how acupuncture fits into your overall plan.

    In an emergency

This website is not monitored, and email and voicemail are not appropriate for urgent concerns. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — including chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, trouble speaking, severe or sudden pain, heavy bleeding, or a serious injury — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

If you are in emotional crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the United States to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available around the clock.

    Individual results vary

Bodies, histories, and circumstances differ. Any experiences described on this site, including patient stories, are individual accounts. They are shared to give you a sense of the work — not as a prediction of what will happen for you.

    No guarantee of outcomes

The number of sessions, the pace of change, and the degree of relief cannot be promised in advance. No outcome is guaranteed. What I can commit to is a careful assessment, an honest treatment plan, and a straightforward conversation if this work is not the right fit — including a referral when someone else is better suited to help.

    Please tell me about

    • Pregnancy, or the possibility of pregnancy.
    • Bleeding disorders or blood-thinning medication.
    • A pacemaker or other implanted electrical device.
    • Recent surgery, active infection, or an open wound.
    • Any new, severe, or rapidly changing symptom.

These do not necessarily mean acupuncture is unsafe for you — they simply shape how treatment is delivered.
